It was created 30 years ago in Geneva by Denis von der Weid. The Foundation is committed to scientific research and the dissemination of innovative solutions that address the basic needs of the most deprived. To achieve this, Antenna collaborates with an international network of scientists on research projects in the fields of nutrition, water and hygiene, agroecology, medicine, energy, and microcredit.<\/p>\n<p>The goal? To find local, low-tech, low-cost solutions to improve access to essential needs for the most vulnerable. for over 25 years, it has been implementing a forward-thinking vision of research and the dissemination of technologies tailored to the essential needs of the most deprived populations. Antenna undertakes and participates in research projects in the fields of clean water, agriculture, medicine, nutrition, and energy.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Foundation has been heavily involved in the development of herbal medicine, especially concerning hypertensive plants:<\/strong> <em>Combretum micranthum<\/em> (known as <em>Kinkeliba<\/em>) and <em>Hibiscus sabdariffa<\/em> (known as <em>Bissap<\/em>), which are used in the preparation of popular beverages in West Africa. They are also widely employed in traditional medicine to treat various diseases, including hypertension.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>This project is an initiative of the Antenna Medicines program aimed at slowing down the hypertension epidemic among deprived populations but also in Western countries where there is a strong increase in demand for natural products without undesirable effects.<\/p>\n<p>The proceeds from the products sold will be used to fund additional studies in Southern countries.
